A historic event took place in Matchday 6 of the 2026/27 UPL season as Andrii Yarmolenko scored his 124th goal in the history of Ukraine’s top-flight championship, drawing level with long-time record holder Maksim Shatskikh.

Shatskikh had held the record since the 2014/15 season, when he surpassed Serhii Rebrov’s tally of 123 goals. Rebrov’s record, in turn, had stood since the 2007/08 season.

Below is the complete season-by-season chronology showing how each of the three outstanding goalscorers reached their remarkable totals — and how the records were built.

Interestingly, the 2007/08 season is the only campaign in which all three players scored in the Ukrainian Championship. All three did so for Dynamo.

Yarmolenko, however, scored his first Ukrainian Championship goal for Dynamo’s first team in May 2008, several months after Rebrov had left the Kyiv club to continue his career abroad. Shatskikh, meanwhile, had the opportunity to play for Dynamo alongside both Rebrov and Yarmolenko.

It is also worth noting that all three could have scored even more goals in the Ukrainian Championship, as each of them spent part of his career playing for clubs abroad. But history unfolded the way it did.
