Ahead of the Matchday 5 fixture of the 2026/27 season between Dynamo and LNZ, an awards ceremony for one of the standout performers of the previous UPL season took place at the Dynamo Stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi in Kyiv.

Ukrainian Premier League President Yevhen Dykyi presented Dynamo forward Matvii Ponomarenko with two individual awards.

Last season, Ponomarenko finished as the top scorer of the 2025/26 UPL campaign and was also named the UPL’s Best Young Player of the 2025/26 season.

For almost 20 years, the season’s best performers have been selected by the clubs themselves.
