The Ukrainian Premier League traditionally holds a vote to determine the Coach and Player of the Month in the UPL Championship together with its strategic partner, BETKING. The selection process consists of two stages.
At the first stage, UPL.TV commentators and experts, along with media representatives, review each round and select the best coach, the best player and the Team of the Round.
Three rounds were played in the UPL Championship in September. Based on the results of those rounds, four coaches and eight players were shortlisted for the Coach of the Month and Player of the Month awards.
The second stage involved two separate votes: one among fans online and another among UPL.TV commentators and experts and media representatives, with 36 experts taking part this time. The candidates earned points in each poll, which were converted into percentages. The fan and expert results were then combined to determine the winners.
Karpaty attacking player Nazarii Rusyn has been named the Ukrainian Premier League Player of the Month for September. He featured in all three of the Lviv side’s matches — against Shakhtar (1–2), Kolos (2–0) and Veres (1–1) — and scored twice, against Shakhtar and Kolos.
Interestingly, Rusyn finished fourth in the expert vote, but was the clear No. 1 choice among the fans.
In the expert poll, two Kharkiv players were almost tied for top spot — Baton Zabergja and Illia Krupskyi, with the Kosovo international finishing just 0.2% ahead. The fans, however, had a different view.

In the coaching category, the experts and fans were unanimous in choosing Ruslan Rotan. His Polissya side won all three of its UPL matches in September — against Kudrivka (5–1), Livyi Bereh (1–0) and Kryvbas.
Mladen Bartulović finished second in both polls. His Kharkiv side played only two UPL matches in September, defeating Obolon 5–0 and Bukovyna 2–0.
Third place went to Arda Turan, whose Shakhtar side did not drop a single point in the UPL during the month, defeating Karpaty 2–1, Chornomorets 2–0 and LNZ 3–0.
