For the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion the event was held offline

On May 27, the Ukrainian Premier League working meeting took place in the House of Football.
The working meeting was attended by: UAF President and UEFA ExCo member Andrii Pavelko, UAF First Vice Presidents: Vadym Kostiuchenko, Anatolii Demianenko, Oleh Protasov, Oleksii Mykhailychenko, representatives of all UPL clubs and the clubs to be promoted from PFL, UPL Executive Director Ievgen Dykyi and PFL President Oleksandr Kadenko.

The main topic on the agenda was the prospect of the Championship, discussion of possible venues and dates, as well as the format of the tournament for the upcoming season.
After a constructive discussion all the clubs unanimously agreed on the main issue: the next season shall start!
The final decision on the format of the Championship, the host country and the match calendar will be made based on the results of specialised working groups and consultations with the Ukrainian authorities and military administrations.
The same conclusion was reached regarding the future prospects of the Youth Team Championship.
Besides, there was a question on the agenda regarding the impossibility of FC Desna and FC Mariupol to participate in the next Championship of Ukraine due to the destroyed infrastructure and the difficult military situation in their cities. It was decided to secure their places in the Ukrainian Premier League. All participants of the meeting unanimously supported this initiative.
Based on the difficult situation in the country because of the military aggression of the Russian Federation, the special temporary regulations will be developed and adopted for the 2022/23 season. They will provide the conditions for holding competitions in the current situation.
During the meeting, the issue of the UPL media rights tender was also raised.
The League management informed the clubs that negotiations on the purchase of rights to broadcast the Championship are ongoing, potential partners continue to express their interest and are open to fruitful cooperation on favorable financial terms. More detailed negotiations will be continued after the venue and format of the Championship are approved.
