Shakhtar: they played as best they could

– Among all the rivals of Ukrainian teams in this year's European competitions Manchester City is the strongest one. The Guardiola’s team are without exaggeration at an unequalled level. That is why it happened like this on Tuesday: the English team played better football and surpassed us. Shakhtar played as best they could, but it was enough only for a defeat with a large score. Besides, in the absence of Taison and Marlos they did not simply have a man to create chances.

Vorskla: experience is above all

– Not a single entry into the opponent’s penalty area, one shot on target from 30 meters distance but at the same time – such an important victory, the first for the club in the group stages of the European competitions! I have already spoken about this and will repeat again: for Vorskla and their football players, all Europa League matches are valuable primarily because of great experience. And for Ukraine, this is important in terms of points in the UEFA coefficient table. In any case, I would beware of begging the question on qualifying from a group.

Dynamo: Brazilians helped a lot

– In a word – well done! The team from Kyiv are under fire and this victory is like a jolt of fresh air. To put it mildly, in my opinion, not all was good in terms of attack but Brazilians helped a lot. In particular, after Tchê Tchê entered the field, we started to control the ball, which was not the case before. On the other hand, truth be told that most of the Dynamo problems have not disappeared yet, thus it will be even more difficult in the return match in Kyiv.
